childhood literacy advocate, as well as an ESL
teacher for organizations in Montana and Oregon.

Itzel Yarger

Itzel is originally from Mexico. She has broad
international experience working with children in
Spain, Latin America and Africa. Itzel holds a Post
Graduate Degree in Education and Prevention of
Gender Violence from the University of Salamanca,

National Autonomous University of Mexico. |

Penelope is originally from Bogota, Colombia and has
travelled extensively through Latin America
performing and producing educational and community
theatre about cultural diversity and ecology. She
earned her M.F.A. in the
Creative Pulse Arts and Education Graduate Program
at the University of Montana. She worked for MIS in
the past as both preschool and fine arts teacher.

Human and Family Development, Early Intervention.
She is a Colombian native and brings a lifetime of
Spanish language and Colombian culture to MIS’s
youngest students. Adriana has been teaching at MIS

University of Guadalajara. He has broad professional
teaching experience working with children in
immersion and bilingual K-12 settings in New York
City and Pocatello, Idaho. John holds a M.A. degree
in Spanish and Education from the City University of
New York, Hunter College and a Bachelor’s degree in
Spanish from Idaho State University. |

prior to moving to the United States in 2000. She

Rocío is a native of Ecuador, but her international
experience extends throughout Europe and South
America. Rocío has a B.A. from La Universidad
Equinoccial in Quito, Ecuador and from Evergreen
College in Olympia, WA. She has taught at MIS since

in teaching from Evergreen College in Olympia, WA.
Ted brings extensive international experience to his
classroom. He is part of partnership that owns 2700
acres of tropical rainforest in Bolivia that is held

business, and economics. Before Thailand, Ryder
worked in the Teton County School District in

Stacy brings a wealth of music and performing arts
knowledge to MIS. She completed her MFA in Acting
from the University of Montana and her BA at Luther
College in Decorah, Iowa. There she studied music,
focusing on percussion with an emphasis in piano and
mallet instruments. |
