| PRESCHOOL The preschool years represent a distinctive
time of growth and change in a child's development. MIS's
preschool program meets the needs of the young child by
balancing opportunities to develop the whole child--the
intellectual, the social and the personal; as each is
important and linked to the others. Young children are full
of curiosity and develop theories of the how the world
around them works as they grow. MIS nurtures this natural
curiosity and preschool teachers support efforts to
construct meaning from their world. MIS preschool students
explore, investigate and play with a variety of materials,
in order to learn about themselves and others.
MIS preschool families may choose two options for their
preschool student's schedule: Monday through Friday full day
(from 8:45a.m.-3:00p.m.) or Monday through Friday half day
(from 8:45a.m.-11:30p.m.). Half day preschool students may
choose to stay for lunch (for an additional charge).
